THE TANK CONSTRUCTION AND DELIVERY: A PROBLEM BASED LEARNING ACTIVITY IN GEOMETRY CLASS

ABSTRACT

 

This article reports my experience of implementing a problem based learning activity in my Geometry class. The problem was posed to the students through PBL model adopted from Finkle and Torp (1995) which consists of six steps. Students were grouped into group of five members and they were given time to discuss and to solve the problem. Their conversations, my observations and reflection were recorded in my field note and they were asked to write their reflections after the activity. The qualitative data was analyzed and it was found that Problem Based learning (PBL) brought a lot of meaningful experience in the learning of the students.
